Maximale Zeit

Because this race takes place in a major city, we must re-open the roads to vehicular traffic according to schedule. The course road blocks will be taken down and aid stations will begin closing at a 13:45 per mile pace, which is a 6 hour total marathon time or a 3 hour total half marathon time.

Runner and spectators are advised to ARRIVE EARLY to allow time to find parking and get settled before heading to the Start Line. Runners and spectators have two options for parking: Parking decks/lots, and on-street parking (limited). There is also a runner drop off/pick up area within walking distance to the Start/Finish Line. Parking is FREE in all downtown Naperville parking decks, municipal surface lots and on-street. There are no time limits for vehicles parked downtown on Sunday.

Our race will be timed using disposable timing tags, which are attached to your shoe.

Naperville City Center

The race begins near the Naperville city center along Eagle Street, alongside the campus of Naperville Central High School and across the street from Naperville Cemetery and Sportsman Park. From there, the course heads first south and east, to Pioneer Park and over the first of two bridge crossings over the DuPage River.

The final few miles unfold through residential neighborhoods and past Lake Osborne and Quarry Lake, before heading around the Naper Settlement, an outdoor history museum whose most notable structure is probably the 12-room Martin Mitchell Mansion, which dates back to 1883.

Runners cross the finish line back in front of the lake along Eagle Street, and then make their way to the post-race party.
