Welcome to the Merthyr Half Marathon!
The event will also feature Children’s races, registration will be available on the day.
The event is organised and run by Merthyr Running Club. It utilises the Trevithick trail and the Taff Trail. It is predominately run on road/tarmac, but does involve a brief trail section towards the middle of the route. Despite this road shoes are recommended.
It has on site car park which is free, toilet, changing facilities and free baggage drop. We also have a race village with things for all the family to do, there is an artisan market, food and drinks vendors on site.
Course highlights
The race village and start are located outside the modern setting of The College, Merthyr Tydfil which also acts as the hub for the morning, including number pick ups on the day.
It takes in stretches of both the Trevithick and Taff trails in a scenic and undulating 13.1 miles / 21.1km.
