The Annual Midwest Financial Group Madison Mini Marathon is a thrilling and picturesque running event that highlights the best of Madison’s landmarks and scenery. Participants will journey past iconic sites such as Capitol Square, the famous Dane County Farmer’s Market, State Street, Camp Randall Stadium, and the Kohl Center. The route also winds through the beautiful Arboretum and the University of Wisconsin Campus, offering a true glimpse of Madison’s unique charm.
After completing the race, runners are invited to celebrate at the 14th Mile Post-Race Party, held at Memorial Union Terrace. This is the perfect spot to relax and revel in your accomplishment.
Participants aged 21 and over can enjoy a complimentary beer, courtesy of Wisconsin Distributors, while non-alcoholic options like soft drinks and bottled water are also available.
The post-race party features live music and breathtaking views of Lake Mendota, creating an unforgettable way to conclude the event.

- Lake Mendota Shoreline: Enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Mendota as you run along the serene shoreline, experiencing the tranquility pushing you to your next mile.
- University of Wisconsin Campus: Pass through the historic and picturesque campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, known for its stunning architecture and vibrant student life.
- Arboretum Trails: Enter the enchanting trails of the University of Wisconsin Arboretum, a runner's paradise surrounded by lush greenery and native flora.
- Monona Terrace: Embrace the scenic beauty of Monona Terrace, designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, as you approach the race's final stretch.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes. Someone else can pick up your packet. In order to add some form of security, we ask that you please forward your race confirmation email or a photo of your driver's license to show our volunteers at Packet Pick-Up.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
This race does not offer refunds or deferrals. If you are registered for the event, you agreed to the no refund and no deferral policy prior to submitting your online registration. This includes those who experience illness, injury or any other condition that may prevent them from participating in the event.
Can I walk instead of run?
Yes! Even though this is a timed event, we welcome all runners and walkers! However, if you are planning to walk we do ask that you start toward the back.
Are headphones allowed?
Yes. Please be mindful of those around you and make sure you are able to hear any emergency announcements.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes! Please be mindful of those around you and make sure they do well in large crowds and try not to get in the way of other runners.
Can we bring strollers and/or baby joggers?
Sure! But we do ask that you start toward the back so as not to impede the other runners.
