The idea was born when I was running in Curacao. At one time I wanted to run the Juliana bridge which connects Punda with Otrabanda, 56,4 meters high. That is normally not permitted. ..Once on top of the bridge, while the sun came up, the idea arose to organize a Marathon in Curacao.
Together with my partner Martin Does we started this challenge. With help from family, many friends in Curacao, sponsors and partners, the first KLM Curacao Marathon started at 4.00 am, november 30 2014, Aims Certified and 1.600 enthusiastic Runners. A dream came true.
