Cellcom Green Bay Marathon

Join Cellcom Green Bay Marathon
The Cellcom Green Bay Half Marathon course is considered to be fast and flat, by race industry comparisons. The course finishes with a “tailgate” themed party in the Lambeau Field parking lot! For the half marathon, the course consists of tree-lined streets in west Green Bay and the village of Ashwaubenon.
Green Bay Packers fans will love this race, as the finish line takes you inside the NFL team’s Lambeau Field for a run around the gridiron at the Cellcom Green Bay Half Marathon and features a run through mostly residential streets and city parks for most of the route.
Course highlights
The point-to-point course for the half marathon starts on Lombardi Avenue, next to the stadium, and from there heads out on a roughly counter-clockwise loop through this part of Green Bay, turning first on 12th Avenue and Hickory Hill Drive.
From there, the course winds through block after block of residential neighborhoods, with a mostly fast and flat run for the race’s first few miles. The race really only begins to rise once runners reach the mile 5 point, where runners can expect a very gradual ascent to begin for the next couple of miles.
Next, the course runs along West Point Road and South Point Road — past He-Nis-Ra Park and through Sherwood Forest Park, during which the course begins heading gradually downhill again.
The final few miles of the race bring runners in to the finish line at Lambeau Field in the section of the city known as Ashwaubenon, where runners end their race by running into the stadium and they get to touch the famous “Tundra” turf on the field.
While those running the full marathon will encounter a few more hills and changes in elevation thanks to the stretches they run along the Fox River Trail, those running the half stay within the city’s residential neighborhoods, and remain on mostly flat ground throughout their race.
