From the history of the traditional running race "Brno Twenty Five". The founding members of TJ Sokol Brno Žabovřesky devoted themselves to organizing the races for 39 years, then handed over the organizing baton to the athletic club AC Moravská Slavia Brno. Since 2019, the race has been organized by the association MARATON Brno, acting under the brand BehejBrno_com. The races are held every year in autumn and serve mainly for endurance runners as a preparation for longer running races in the autumn running season. It did not take place only in 1968, when our country was occupied by the armies of the Warsaw Pact. Runners from all over the country and abroad meet here. For the first organizer, the starting and finishing point was on the Sokol Žabovřesky course and the track then led along the road through Komín, Kníničky, Rozdrojovice to Jinačovice and back. The jubilee 40th year was already organized by AC Moravská Slavia, which adjusted the start and finish points to its stadium and also changed the race track. The 51st year then said goodbye to organizing races and handed it over to the running association MARATON Brno.
