Der Almaty Marathon (auf kasachisch: Алматы марафоны) ist eine jährliche Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltung in Kazakhstan. Die Strecke des Almaty Halbmarathons ist eine Schleife mit unebenem Gelände. Ein großer Teil der Strecke führt bergauf bzw. bergab, mit einem Höhenunterschied von rund 200 Metern. Die gesamte Marathonstrecke führt zweimal über dieselbe Schleife. Auch nach dem Lauf lädt Almaty zu wunderschönen Wanderwegen direkt vor den Toren der Stadt. Der Große Almaty See ist ebenfalls einen Besuch wert und sorgt für ein atemberaubendes Foto und großartige Erinnerungen. Die Organisatoren des Almaty Marathons helfen bei der Förderung eines gesunden Lebensstils unter den Bürgern und sind an vielen Projekten beteiligt, darunter der Bau von Sportinfrastrukturen in Internaten, Kindergärten und der Kauf von medizinischer Ausrüstung.
Almaty Marathon is the largest running event in Central Asia, held at the foot of the Zailiyskiy Alatau mountains. The course follows Almaty’s main streets, combining panoramic mountain views with long climbs and fast descents, while thousands of spectators line the route and create an energetic city-wide atmosphere.
What makes Almaty Marathon stand out is its scale and diversity. Every year, runners from more than 60 countries come together in Almaty, making the race a truly international meeting point for the global running community.
Beyond competition, Almaty Marathon is a platform for positive social change. The event actively promotes inclusivity, sustainability, and the development of urban running infrastructure, using sport as a tool to improve quality of life in the city.
Charity remains a core part of the marathon’s mission. A portion of entry fees is donated annually to support children with special needs, and over the years the marathon has implemented more than 30 charitable projects in Almaty and the Almaty Region.
Almaty Marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), with courses officially certified according to World Athletics standards. The event is also part of the TAN Series, the first international running series uniting Turkic nations.

Starter kits will be issued on 25–26 September 2026 in Almaty from 10:00 to 20:00. The exact address will be announced later. No starter kits will be issued at the start area.

The start and finish area is located at Republic Square, Satpayev Street.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Participants can change their distances only before 18:00 (Almaty time), 28 August 2026.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
