A major running event among the sands of Southern Kazakhstan, imbued with the spirit of the Great Silk Road.
The Turkistan Marathon route runs through the picturesque corners of the ancient city of Turkistan and its surroundings. The marathon course features a gentle terrain with a total elevation gain of only around 70 meters, making it accessible for beginners, intermediate runners, and experienced athletes aiming to improve their results.
Turkistan Marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and its courses are certified according to World Athletics standards.
The Turkistan Marathon is part of the TAN series — the first international running series of Turkic nations.

Starter kits will be distributed in Turkistan from 10:00 to 20:00 on 24-25 October 2025. The exact address for kit pickup will be announced later.

How do I get to the race location?
The start and finish location for the Turkestan Marathon 2025 is at the VISIT CENTRE TURKISTAN, located at 53A Amir Timur Street (parking lot).
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Participants can change their distances only before or on 13 October 2025.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Funds paid for participation in the Competition are non-refundable.
