The Turkistan Marathon is a significant sporting event that uniquely combines athleticism with cultural heritage, attracting sports enthusiasts from around the globe. Situated in southern Kazakhstan, Turkistan is among the oldest cities in the world, boasting a rich history of over 1,500 years. The marathon starts in the scenic setting of this historic city, featuring a relatively flat course with an elevation gain of just 70 metres. This makes the route ideal for novice and intermediate runners, as well as seasoned athletes looking to end the running season on a high note and achieve personal bests.
The Turkistan Marathon is affiliated with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and its courses are certified to meet World Athletics standards.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Starter kits will be distributed in Turkistan from 10:00 to 20:00 on 25-26 October 2024. The exact address for kit pickup will be announced later.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, it is possible, but someone will need to provide an ID document of the BIB owner and the necessary documentation as stated in the Race regulations.
How do I get to the race location?
The start and finish location for the Turkestan Marathon 2024 is at the VISIT CENTRE TURKISTAN, located at 53A Amir Timur Street (parking lot).
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Participants can change their distances only before or on 14 October 2024.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
Funds paid for participation in the Competition are non-refundable.
