Join Munnar Marathon
Marathons are held all over the world and are attended by millions of people. So what is special about the Marathon at Munnar?
In general, the main programs carried out for tourist visiting Munnar are sight-seeing, trekking, camping, tea plantation walk, cycling and other adventure activities comprising of sports and games. “Munnar Marathon” is an ‘out of box’ event, in comparison to the conventional activities conducted.
“Munnar Marathon” hosted by Kestrel Adventures and Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is a first of its kind in Kerala. The event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle coupled with providing exposure and opportunity to the athletes to showcase their caliber. The Marathon route follows a serene high altitude path seldom traversed by people. Traffic and pollution-free, you get to breathe fresh air which in itself rejuvenates you. The mists slowly creeping in to envelop you in its glory while you walk, trek or run up the path are feelings to be experienced than explained.
Course details
Marathon
The 41.2 km track takes you through tea plantations, Shola forests and some of the scenic locales in Munnar. The varying gradient track takes you to a maximum altitude of 1850m MSL, which in itself is a tiring task, but definitely not impossible if you make up your mind. Refreshment points will be arranged every 4 Kms to keep you hydrated and fit throughout the race. Course marshals and backup vehicles will always be there to assist in case of need. Barefoot runners please note that you will have to maneuver through unpaved, tractor-able roads. Please be prepared for this.

We will have lunch provided for Ultrarunners on 12th Feb 2020 and breakfast and lunch for Half Marathon, Full Marathon and Run for Fun runners on 13th Feb 2020.

First 3 places-certificate and medal, next 7 places-certificate and memento, Completion/Participation Certificate. And finishers medal for the rest of participants.
