Join Bucharest International Half-Marathon by Constantina Dita presented by Decathlon
You thought Romania was just Dracula and the Carpathians? 🧛♂️ Time to rewrite that script!
Bucharest is calling 🦶—and it’s not whispering. It’s boldly inviting you to race through its most iconic streets during the Bucharest International Half Marathon by Constantina Dita presented by Decathlon, a World Athletics Label event that blends speed, culture, and community in one unforgettable experience. Born from the vision of Olympic marathon champion Constantina Diță 🥇(yes, a real legend), this race is more than a run—it's a celebration of movement, diversity, and Romanian pride. Designed by Constantina herself, this is a very fast and flat course, and offers the opportunity for a competitive personal best for both professional athletes and amateur runners, and it’s considered the most beautiful race in Romania ⭐. The event is also supporting Habitat for Humanity, Romanian Paralympic Committee, and We plant good deeds.
🌸 April is your moment. With spring temperatures hovering around 15–20 °C 🌡️, it’s prime racing weather. Pack your gear, check the forecast 👀, and get ready to toe the line.
🏃🏻♂️ Before you lace up, here’s the rundown:
Half Marathon: Flat, fast, and perfect for PB chasers or first-timers. 10K: A scenic loop past Bucharest’s architectural gems 🏙️ like the Triumphal Arch and Romanian Athenaeum. 3.5K Popular Race: Open to runners from age 8 (kids under 10 need a buddy). Great for families and fun-seekers. Because sport belongs to everyone ✊.
Every route winds through the vibrant city center and Herăstrău Park 🌲. The more you run, the more you see. And trust us—you’ll want to see it all.
🏁 After the finish line, reward yourself with a deep dive into Bucharest’s charm. Nicknamed the “Little Paris of the East,” it offers wide boulevards, lush parks, and cultural treasures. Visit the monumental Palace of Parliament 🏛️, wander the cobbled streets of Lipscani, and stroll through Herăstrău Park 🌳 for a post-race cooldown. Culture lovers, don’t miss the Village Museum—an open-air tribute to Romania’s rural soul 🤩.
Got a few extra days? Head to Bran Castle near Brașov—the one that sparked the Dracula legend—and soak in Transylvania’s mystique. And of course, fuel up with local delights: sarmale, mici, and papanaşi. Your taste buds will be doing a victory lap 😋.
🎽 Ready to run Romania? Join us at the Bucharest International Half Marathon by Constantina Dita and be part of something legendary. Register now and let the streets of Bucharest carry you to your next finish line.
