The Academia Fun Run 2026 brings together students and teachers from across Kinshasa to celebrate health, teamwork, and community impact through the power of running.
Now in its second edition, the event is more than a race—it is a growing movement designed to inspire active lifestyles on campus while strengthening connections between universities, faculties, and the next generation of changemakers. By uniting diverse academic communities, the Academia Fun Run creates a shared space where sport, creativity, and collaboration intersect.
As the first university-focused race of its kind in Kinshasa, the event features a 10K run that highlights youth energy and cross-campus participation, welcoming students from business, medical, journalism, and arts faculties. Students also play a central role in shaping the experience, contributing to event organization and race-day support.
Participants receive exclusive event gear, including a bib, t-shirt, and medal, along with access to the award ceremony.
The experience culminates in a vibrant post-run community gathering, featuring music, food, drinks, and student-led activities—creating a festive and meaningful celebration of unity, movement, and future potential.

Bib and T-shirt collection will take place on race day, Sunday, May 3, from 7:00 to 8:00 AM, prior to the start.
