JoongAng Seoul Marathon will offer you an unforgettable course full of beautiful sceneries filled with various types of trees along the road. It will be a sight to remember as you start out from Seoul heading out to Sungnam.
Tracing a loop across Seoul, the course is generally flat, It takes place in the south-east part of the city, heading into the suburbs towards Seongnam before looping back to finish in the Jamsil Main Stadium.
JoongAng Seoul Marathon was established in 1999 to commemorate the 1988 Seoul Olympic and to preserve its spirit. For the past years, JoongAng Seoul Marathon was able to keep its reputation as the biggest marathon held in Korea. From starting out with just 1,300 participants in 1999, JoongAng Seoul Marathon matured rapidly to involve up to 27,000 participants in 2003.
