Utrecht Night Run

As soon as dusk falls, the first enthusiasts prepare for the night trip on Domplein. They are waiting more than 8 kilometers for a run through the city center, where a headlight must show the way to the participants. The atmosphere is already good and at nine o’clock the first wave is given for the first wave. The first Nedal Utrecht Night Run starts successfully with great enthusiasm.
The participants walk straight through the city center along the Nieuwgracht, Oudegracht, Lepelenburg and even through Hoog Catharijne and across the new Stationsplein to finish under the Dom. The Nedal Utrecht Night Run brings plenty of excitement, fun and experience in the dark.

The participants will be surprised at no fewer than ten places along the course by spectacular entertainment such as DJs, jugglers, a magical soap bubble show, projector projection and samba band. Some runners stop to watch the acts and take a selfie. “That is also possible, because there is no time registration. Adventure and enjoyment comes first in the concept of the Night Runs, "says Annemarie Stap, organizer of the Nedal Utrecht Night Run.
The first fanatics enthusiastically cross the finish line under the Dom and can enjoy a delicious beer from the De Leckere brewery in Utrecht. “This was fantastic. I enjoyed everything we got to see along the way. ”After the run it’s time for the afterparty and a drink. While the participants trickle in and still enjoy the run, the Utrecht band Mooi Weer Op Straat provides a pleasant end to a great evening on Domplein.

The organization can look back on a very successful first edition: “The atmosphere was really great and all the participants were very enthusiastic about the finish. We certainly intend to come back next year with new entertainment en route.
