The Ship Inn Shuffle

This out-and-back coastal run starts on the cliffs at Sewerby, passes Danes Dyke, and heads towards Flamborough before returning. The route mixes fields, woodland, and coastal trail on an undulating profile, including several flights of steps and a couple of stiles. Multiple distance options are offered; shorter routes are less challenging, while longer routes include more demanding sections. The course is fully signed and marshalled, with feed and drink stations at regular intervals to support hydration and fuelling. A generous cut-off accommodates varied pacing. At the finish, participants receive hot or cold food at The Ship Inn or from the Blue Savannah catering van, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Because a meal is provided, the usual range of finish-line sweets and drinks is not offered. The event highlights North Yorkshire’s coastal scenery while maintaining straightforward navigation and consistent support.
