The History Ultra
Join The History Ultra
Join us on the slopes of the Vosges mountains to write a new page of your history. The challenge is important: 150 km in 5 days! This mountain race requires perseverance and tenacity from everyone. You will follow in the footsteps of Julius Caesar's armies conquering Gaul more than 2000 years ago to those of the Allied troops liberating the region in 1945. Empires, kingdoms and later nations have fought for this land, coveting its strategic importance and its wealth.
- 150 km through the Vosges, almost exclusively on long-distance paths (GR)
- 5 days of unassisted stages (only water is provided at the race checkpoints)
- The paths are marked and do not require navigation
- Semi-autonomous race: each participant will have to carry everything he/she needs for the duration of the challenge (only dinner and breakfast will be served in the huts)
- The nights will be spent in refuges of the Vosges Club (or equivalent), which means that each participant must be equipped with at least a personal sleeping bag.
You will appreciate the beauty of the region, its historical and cultural aspects as well as its gastronomy. Long endurance races are sometimes difficult to combine with family life. Our sporting challenge is compatible with a family vacation, thanks to the selection of the start and finish base (HUTTOPIA CAMPSITE), which is able to accommodate a large number of visitors. Our teams are multilingual and will be happy to welcome runners from all over the world.
