Join Setúbal Triathlon
HMS Sports and the Municipality of Setúbal invite to Setúbal Triathlon, a long distance event that will challenge triathletes to 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21.1 km of run.
Starting in the Sado River waters, the competition will provide courses through the city center and the challenging Arrábida mountain range, setting up participants to a beautiful city center finish line.
Having as main stage the beauty of Arrábida and Sado estuary, this sport event also becomes an excellent motivation for leisure moments and explore the region's natural resources.
Course details
One-way course with australian exit, leaving the water between turns, at Parque Urbano de Albarquel beach.
The transition park will be installed in the Parque Urbano de Albarquel.
Cycling
The cycling course consisting of two 45 km loops is as follows:
Start of the route in the Parque Urbano de Albarquel (PUA) – Av. Luísa Todi – Av. Jaime Rebelo - Mitrena Roundabout – Mitrena Road
1st return on the Mitrena road to km 11 next to the “Alstom” Terminal – Mitrena Roundabout (underpass)
2nd return on Alto da Guerra at km 18 - Mitrena Roundabout - Av. Jaime Rebelo – Av. Luísa Todi
3rd return in the Vale da Rasca at km 34
4th return at Figueirinha beach at km 39 - return to Av. Luisa Todi
Start of the 2nd round - Av. Luísa Todi – Av. Jaime Ribeiro – Mitrena roundabout
5th return on the Mitrena road at km 54 next to the “Alstom” Terminal – Mitrena Roundabout (underpass)
6th return at Alto da Guerra at km 62 - Av. Jaime Rebelo – Av. Luísa Todi
7th return in Vale da Rasca at km 78
8th return on Figueirinha beach at km 83 - return to Av. Luisa Todi
Transition on Av. Luísa Todi (in front of Largo José Afonso)
The points with the highest elevation are kilometers 34.7 km and 78.7 km with 70 meters of altitude, with an accumulated of 800m, approximately.
Running
The athletics course starts and finishes at Av. Luísa Todi Ithas 4 laps, and makes a total of 21.097 km. The course is totally flat and through asphalt.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
The Race Packet for the Setúbal Triathlon can be picked up at the Race Office, at Auditório José Afonso according to the following times: Friday, April 4, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
The triathlete can cancel the registration according to the following conditions and deadlines: Until 31st December, 2024: full refund of the registration fee, except administrative fees of 10€ From 1st to 31st January, 2025: half of the registration fee (50%) will be refunded From 1st February to 6th March, 2025: 25% refund of the registration fee From 7th March, 2025 onwards: non-refundable
