Join Istanbul Night Marathon Relay 2026
Experience a new kind of night running event on the Bosphorus in Istanbul with the debut of this unique marathon festival. Set along the scenic Tarabya-Sarıyer coast, the event invites runners to enjoy a vibrant evening atmosphere and a spirited program of activities in addition to the races themselves. The route, popular among local runners, offers stunning nighttime views along the waterfront and passes through notable districts such as Kireçburnu, Tarabya, and Sarıyer before returning to the starting point.
Participants can choose from three main event formats: the 42km marathon relay for teams of four, the 21km half marathon relay for teams of two, or the 10K individual fun run. Each race features timing chips, refreshment points, finisher medals, and a celebratory buffet for those who complete the course within the time limits. With categories for women, men, and mixed teams, as well as a wide range of age groups, this event welcomes runners of all backgrounds to take part in an exciting night race along Istanbul’s iconic shoreline.

How do I get to the race location?
The race start will be on Bahçeköy Street. The course itself, as well as some roads near the event area, will be closed to traffic. The road between Hacıosman and Hamidiye Etfal will be open to traffic throughout the race, and public transportation is available within this range. *** Participants arriving with own carss are advised to park in the parking lots at the Hacıosman Metro and Darüşafaka Metro stations and use public transportation to reach the start area. *** Participants wishing to travel by sea can use the Eminönü-Rumeli Kavağı ferries to reach Büyükdere Pier. Büyükdere Pier is 1 km from the start area.
