Join Lagoa Swimrun
The third edition of the Lagoa Swimrun will be returning to the stunning Algarve coast in May. In just two years, this course has been voted as one of the best by all swimrunners, thanks to its challenging nature and breathtaking views.
Starting at the "Ermida da Senhora da Rocha," athletes will begin with a run along the Seven Hanging Valleys route, which was recently named the best hiking destination in Europe. The scenery is truly stunning. The course then proceeds through the Caminho dos Promontórios route, and ends at the picturesque fishing village of Ferragudo.
Throughout the course, participants will encounter numerous cliffs and rock formations, each carved into unique shapes. There are also several secluded beaches and caves to explore, some of which can only be reached by sea, such as the famous Benagil Cave. Athletes will also pass through the iconic Caneiros Beach, a well-known landmark in the Algarve.
Apart from the occasional summer floods, this is a chance for everyone to discover and run this beautiful course, with spring in full swing and an average water temperature of 18 degrees.
