Über Hanford Cow Run, Half Marathon & 5k

Join us on our Annual Hanford Cow Run, Half Marathon & 5K. The Hanford Cow Run will take place in February. This race is excellent for beginners and experience runners nabbing a personal best. Runners or walkers who sign up for the race should have the chance to record excellent times, as the course is primarily flat.

This is an exciting Half Marathon and 5K course, its fast and located on the flat rural roads of Hanford. This course will take you through the dairies where you’re cheered on by our much-loved milk cows! The Hanford Cow Run is a walker-friendly course.

The course features 6 aid stations approximately every 2 miles on the course with water and basic medical supply. Two of these will have fluid sports drink. Runners in the 5K will pass 1 aid station. Portable restrooms are located at the start/finish line and along the course by aid stations.


The awards ceremony will occur in phases for the fastes finishers and continuing throughout the finish Cow-fest as results for each age category are available. All finishers receive a medal. Overall: Top 1st, 2nd & 3rd male & female in the Half Marathon & 5K. Age Groups: Awards will be presented in the following age groups in the Half Marathon ONLY: 12-15 / 16-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70-74 / 75+.

A finishing time limit of 4 hours will be enforced and the course will be cleared by 12:00 pm.

The Hanford Cow Run Half Marathon and 5K share a start/finish line located on N. Mustang Dr. Runners will head southwest on N Mustang Dr. toward 13th Ave. From there, the course heads out onto 13th avenue and takes runners on a loop route. After crossing the finish line a finishers Cow-Fest awaits all participants with a delicious post-race breakfast.
