Join Il-Ġirja t'Għawdex by Run Gozo
Have you ever been to the beautiful island of Gozo (Malta)? Now is the perfect time to combine a trip there with a run and feel refreshed, energized, and ready to go! Located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Gozo provides visitors with some of the most picturesque and idyllic scenes. With around 300 days of direct sunlight each year, the weather is ideal for running and seeing some of the best views Gozo has to offer. The Ġirja t'Għawdex by Run Gozo is a leading running event in Malta, and it has been taking place since 1977, making the the oldest organized road race in the Maltese Islands. It is completely organized by a dedicated team of volunteers who strive to make the event accessible to people of all abilities. We invite you to join us this April for the 49th edition of this beloved race and experience the amazing island of Gozo.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Participants must register and collect their race pack which includes the race number, timing chip and goody bag on Saturday 20th April 2024 from 09:30am to 7:00pm, from: Teamsport, Triq Dun Karm, Iklin, IKL9022 Participants residing in Gozo can collect them on Saturday 27th April 2024 from the Xaghra Youth Centre, between 9:00am and 12:00pm.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable from one person to another.
Time limit
The time limit for the Half Marathon race and 10K walkathon is 3 hours from start time. The time limit for the 10K Race is 2 hours from start time. No traffic management, marshals, water stations and other service including medical services will be available after this time limit along the route. The organisation holds no responsibility for runners who have exceeded the time limit and still continue to run/walk.
