Join WINTER BAY Backyard Ultra 2026
The 1st edition in May-2022 was won by Mai Bui in 41 laps, which also gave her a Silver Ticket (place in Sweden's national team for the WC in Backyard Ultra.
The 2nd edition in May-2023 was won by Szilard Fodor from Hungary in 30 laps.
The 3rd edition in May-2024 was won by Rasmus Stenemo in 39 laps, who also claimed a Silver Ticket.
The 4th edition in May-2025 was won by Mohammed Alaoui in 31 laps.
We get a lot of praise for the incredibly nice, varied course, which runs beautifully along Lake Trekanten, round the magnificent Vinterviken & back again on the other side of the lake to Trekantsparken.
Everything related to the race will contribute to our charity initiative #Run4Diabetesin support of The Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Pick up your Start Bib ONLY according to the following: Thursday, April 30: Runners' Store (Regeringsgatan 26, Stockholm) between 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM Friday, May 1: The big tent in the turning area @ Trekantsparken between 12:30-13:30
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Registration fee is non-refundable. Name changes can be made until April 17, 2026 for a cost of 150 SEK.
Is there any mandatory equipment for the race?
Head lamp, reusable cup/mug & personal medication are mandatory equipment. Head lamp must be used between kl. 19:59-04:30. Reusable cup/mug must be accessible in loop area. Personal medication must be stuffed in loop area in case of emergency. Reflex and/or reflex vest, extra shoes & socks, blister/chafing prevention & extra clothes are recommended equipment. The weather in Stockholm in May may vary a lot day by day - dress for success.
Will there be any prize for the winner?
Medals will be given to participants after they notify Race Management of their resignation from the race. Prize to Last One Standing (the winner) will awarded after race finish. Winners of the raffle will be posted in loop area during Saturday May 3. Prizes are collected in the main tent. We will have a raffle where participants can win nice prizes on their Start Bib numbers from our sponsors/partners.
Is there onsite parking?
No official parking available, limited number of parking spaces close to event area. Park at own risk & follow stated parking fees. We recommend public transportation.
