Participants in the Williams Route 66 Half Marathon will run 13.1 miles through the historic and scenic streets of Tulsa. Runners will compete on this USATF certified course while being electronically timed. Half marathon participants must be at least 12 years old on race day. Members of the Half Fanatics Club will experience special perks at the Maniac Corner, which features added race day benefits including a VIP tent with private restrooms, gear check and refreshments. Half Fanatics who register by September 1, 2015, and indicate that they are a member of the Club will receive a custom race number and special finisher medal indicating their membership. Although strollers are not allowed, visually impaired individuals can compete with a seeing-eye dog. Walkers are welcome in all Williams Route 66 Marathon races, and half marathon pace groups are available.
Course highlights
Start in downtown Tulsa to eliminate the need for pre-race hotel shuttles making it easier for the participants to get to the start of the races. Ensure the marathon and half marathon courses follow the same route until the end of the half marathon course. Both the marathon and half marathon courses will make a return to Brookside 7.25 miles in to the race.
