Join Vasaloppet Ultravasan 2026
The ultimate running challenge stretches from Sälen to Mora, offering runners a lifetime experience along the legendary Vasaloppet route. The course passes through forests, marshes and classic Swedish countryside. While much of the terrain is gently runnable, sections of narrow trails, prepared tracks and gravel roads add variety and challenge throughout the journey.
Ultravasan 90 is Scandinavia’s largest ultra trail race and follows the entire historic Vasaloppet route. Starting as early as 05.00 in Berga by, Sälen, runners experience a magical dawn departure and meet the sunrise across the marshes near Smågan before continuing past iconic checkpoints on the way to the finish in Mora. It is a true test of endurance, combining natural beauty with the spirit and history of this legendary course.
Ultravasan 90 is part of a full race weekend. In addition to the 90 km distance, runners can also take on Ultravasan 45 and Trailvasan 30, both starting in Oxberg. The weekend begins on Friday with Trailvasan 10 in Mora, and continues on Saturday with Ultravasan 90, Ultravasan 45, Trailvasan 30 and a relay race, offering several ways to experience the Vasaloppet feel.
Course details
Experience the magical start at dawn, 05.00 in Berga by, Sälen. Meet the sunrise on the bogs at Smågan and continue via all the classic Vasaloppet checkpoints down to the finish in Mora. You get the nature experience with bright pine forests, meandering waterways, natural paths and picturesque summer pastures. You have 15.5 hours to reach the finish.
Ultravasan 45
Ultravasan 45 starts in Oxberg and runs through hilly terrain around the beautiful Oxberg lake, via genuine summer pastures, through deciduous and coniferous forests before heading back into the Vasaloppet Arena, passing the checkpoints in Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris. Experience the Vasaloppet atmosphere at your own pace: walk, jog or run – you have 11.5 hours.
Trailvasan 30
Trailvasan 30 starts in Oxberg. The 30 kilometres down to the finish in Mora run on forest roads and paths, through summer pastures and spruce forests via the classic Vasaloppet checkpoints in Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris. Walk, jog, run – you have nine hours to reach the finish.
Trailvasan 10
Trailvasan 10 starts at the Vasaloppet finish in central Mora and runs on park roads along the Vasaloppet track towards Mora Ski Stadium through nice open pine heaths. It continues down on paths and forest roads via lush forests along the Österdalälven river and then back through central Mora. Finish under the classic portal ”In forefathers’ tracks for future victories”.

You can collect your race pack either in Sälen or Mora. The day before the race or on race day morning, then only in Sälen.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, you can ask someone else to pick up your race pack for you.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes, you can change your distance.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
Your registration is binding. Note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases of sports events. Your registration fee cannot be refunded. Your registration cannot be postponed to a later year. You are able to sell your start position.
