Join The North Face 100 Ultra Trail Mt. Emei Challenge 2026
The North Face 100 Ultra Trail Mt. Emei is one of China’s most iconic trail running events, set on Mount Emei, one of China’s Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains and a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. Renowned for its dramatic landscapes, Mount Emei is famous for the saying “one mountain, four seasons; ten miles, different weather,” offering runners an ever-changing natural environment and rich cultural atmosphere.
Uniquely, the event features a dual-season race format, attracting nearly 10,000 runners each year. The spring edition consists of an eight-category, two-weekend race series, while the winter edition offers two exclusive race categories, creating a one-of-a-kind Mount Emei trail running challenge.
The first race weekend takes place at lower elevations, allowing runners to experience the mountain’s world-renowned cultural heritage and pristine ecosystems, and to discover the fundamental appeal of trail running. The second weekend raises the challenge significantly, featuring up to 3,390 meters of elevation gain and a course that covers a full spectrum of technical terrain, testing endurance, skill, and resilience.
Blending sacred history, biodiversity, and demanding mountain trails, The North Face 100 Ultra Trail Mt. Emei delivers a truly immersive trail running experience unlike any other.
Registered participants will receive complimentary access to Mount Emei scenic areas, including shuttle bus and cable car services. In addition, a variety of optional paid outdoor and cultural activities will be organized during the weekdays between the two race weekends, offering runners more ways to explore Mount Emei and its surroundings.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
No
Will GPS tracking devices be provided during the race?
Yes. The organizing committee provides GPS tracking device rental for participants in the 50 km, 75 km, and 102 km race categories. The use of a GPS device is mandatory for these distances. A deposit of RMB 500 is required for GPS device rental. The deposit will be refunded after the device is returned in good condition following the race.
