关于 Trapline Marathon
The Trapline Marathon is run in honor of the many trappers that left North West River and trekked inland to tend to their trap lines each fall.
The race is unique and heritage oriented. It is a challenging run with picturesque views, as it is run along one of Canada’s final frontiers (Labrador). The freedom and cool temperatures has led to numerous personal best times; very important for Boston!
The races are annual, on the Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend. The Saturday before there is a Diabetes Walk, Kids Marathon, Joggling Tutorial, Route Tour, Friendship Run, Free CPR Training Session, Race Kit Pick Up, and Meet and Greet. Sunday there is a full marathon, half marathon and a 10k. Festivities start with a community gathering at the finish line and end with a banquet that night.
The full marathon provides 42.2 kilometers to reflect in solitude.
