Join The Descent 10K 2025
Welcome to the Descent 10k – a thrilling, fast-paced road race that takes you downhill from start to finish! Experience a stunningly scenic route as you descend from the top of Scammondon to the finish line in West Vale, dropping over 300 meters along the way.
Our swift downhill course is clearly marked and chip-timed, making it ideal for runners of all levels, whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time racer.
Registration is open from 18:00 to 18:50. At 19:00, we'll board the bus to the starting point. Once we reach the top, the race begins immediately, and you'll run back down the hill to complete the course.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
From the moment you sign up for the event, we start to incur costs; event insurance and affiliation levy. Two months before event day, t-shirts and medals are purchased. One month before all feed station stocks are pre-ordered. For these reasons we simply do NOT offer refunds under any circumstances, this applies to deferrals or name changes. We have had to stop all the following due to misuse and abuse! Refunds are not available, there will be NO refunds. Deferrals are not available, there will be NO deferrals. Name change is not available, you can not change the name on your entry.
