Join Florida Skydive Ultra Run
Skydive Spaceland, Clewiston has been in the same location for over 26 years with one of the best safety records in the industry. It is surrounded by 2 square miles of airport and endless acres of sugar cane fields so landing obstacles are few and far between. Lake Okeechobee, the United States second largest freshwater lake, is located 4 miles north of our drop zone and presents a spectacular view and gorgeous scenic backdrop. This venue makes the perfect location to host the annual Skydive Ultra Run.
Start your watch and climb aboard the airplane for the ride up to 13,500 feet where you will leap out of a moving plane to begin your run. The 120 mph, 2 mile (approx 10k feet) free-fall will last 50 seconds before you pull the parachute on your tandem skydive and quietly and calmly float (3,000 feet) back down to the safety of earth. Upon landing you will immediately climb out of your parachute and begin running to complete the world’s first ever "Skydiving Ultra".
The Skydive Ultra course is a simplified single loop measuring approximately 7.25 miles. It’s a comfortable dirt and grass path that meanders around the skydiving landing area and through the local farming fields. There is no elevation change what-so-ever (aside from the 13,500 foot descent at the start J). Bring a hat and sunscreen as there’s no shade or cover to protect you from the Florida sun.
