Join Shunde Ronggui Round Island Marathon 2026
The Shunde Ronggui Round Island Marathon is a festive New Year run held every January 3 in Shunde, Foshan, renowned as the World Capital of Gastronomy.
First launched as the Ronggui New Year’s Day Run in 1988, it has grown into a large-scale, officially certified Chinese Athletics Association A1-level race. Just next to Guangzhou, the event is highly accessible for runners in the Greater Bay Area. Its course features only 21 meters of elevation, making it fast and friendly for both elites and amateurs.
At the finish line, runners are welcomed by a Food Carnival featuring over 100 Chinese delicacies, turning the race into a true celebration of sports, culture, and cuisine.
