Home to the emperors of over 13 dynasties, Xi’an city has been known historically as the “Royal City”, and the Xi’an
City Wall Marathon is the only race in the world in which the entire race route is
set on top of the beautiful Xi’an City wall. First organized in 1996, the Xi’an
City Wall Marathon returns for its 22nd instalment on the 9th
of September this year. The theme for the Xi’an City Wall Marathon this year is
“Experiencing the city wall through space and time”, and aims to present to all
runners an experience which transcends over 2000 years of ancient history and
cultural significance.

Join us for a breathtaking race alongside the stunning Xi’an
City Wall, and experience the culture and architecture of the city widely known
as the birthplace of Chinese civilization and culture.
