Join Seoul Marathon
First held in 1931, Seoul Marathon is the oldest marathon event continuously held in Asia, and the second oldest in the world following the Boston Marathon.
It embodies modern history of Korea, also referred to as “The Miracle On the Han River”.
Any participant is welcomed as long as they apply before the deadline. Seoul marathon's record is also accepted in most major marathon events like Boston or New York.
In addition, participants can easily enjoy the rich sights of Seoul and varieties of foods. Transportation and accommodation are very convenient as the competition is held in the center of Seoul.

Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
No
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Deadline for changes and cancellations - December 31st, 2024. Cancellations are not possible after this period, and in case of injury or illness, an official form must be submitted.
Can I get an invitation letter for visa purposes?
Seoul Marathon does NOT issue any invitation letters for visa purposes.
Modification of shirt size or type
Changing the size or type of shirt is not possible once registration has been completed. T-shirt sizes are subject to availability.
Bag drop timing for 42K
Storage vehicle operation time: (Drop off at Gwanghwamun Plaza) 06:30 a.m. - 07:30 a.m. The storage vehicle at Gwanghwamun Plaza will head towards the finish line at 7:30 a.m. Participants for the FULL course must be on-site before 7:00 a.m. in order to store their belongings. Pick up at Seoul Student Gymnasium 10:30 a.m. -13:00 p.m.
Bag drop for 10K
Storage unit operation time: Drop off at Jamsil Sports Complex 06:30 a.m. - 07:40 a.m. ※ You will not be able to store your belongings past 07:40 a.m. Pick up at Jamsil Sports Complex 08:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
Qualification for the marathon and cut-off times
Based on feedback from runners, the organizer of the Seoul Marathon has updated their policy for international participants. While the qualifying time requirement still exists, it will not be enforced for foreign runners. Those who can not provide a qualifying time will start with the last group. Cut-off times: 42k - 5 hours; 10K - 90 minutes
