Plymouth Half

Plymouth’s Half Marathon is a much celebrated traffic-free road race, which takes in all that is great about Plymouth. It is widely considered to be an enjoyable race. Places typically sell out and the race raises hundred of thousands of pounds for various charities. There is also a fun run and schools run on the same day.

It offers stunning coastal views, a charming harbour and the beautiful National Trust grounds of Saltram Park, as well as the iconic Plymouth Hoe, where Sir Francis Drake once played bowls!

Plymouth’s Half Marathon, will once again take a single lap through the heart of the city. The traffic-free course is open to all abilities and will start and finish at The Hoe, with its stunning coastal backdrop. We hope we have answered all your queries here for race day.

The route takes the runners around the Hoe, with its stunning view of the harbour, before heading through the Barbican. The course then heads to the east of Plymouth running through Saltram Park and past Saltram House. Finally runners drop down onto Elburton Road and the last turning point before heading to The Promenade and the Finish.
