This year’s edition has been turned into a virtual event
Join Mustache Run
Get ready to work off some of your Thanksgiving leftovers at the annual Moustache Run Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, which takes runners on a tour of Minneapolis along the Mississippi River.
Momentum is a terrible thing to waste. So as Moustache Run celebrates its yearly support of men’s health, we’re calling you to find another gear.
Is it upping your distance? Pursuing a fu manchu? Or recruiting more guys and gals to run? That’s up to you. But one thing’s certain: this will be the best Mo Run yet. Join us in late November for a festive 5K, 10K, half marathon, or lil’ mo mile. A victory lap for your ’stache — and a victory for men everywhere.
Every three minutes, a new case of prostate cancer is diagnosed in the United States. Every 15 minutes, a man dies from it. As an extension of the Growvember movement, we’re raising awareness to help find a cure, help men and their families with the diagnosis, and support men’s health, in general.
Portions of Moustache Run proceeds go directly to organizations dedicated to prostate cancer research and support in the local communities where we host our event. For more information on the organization we support in Minneapolis, follow the link below.
The half marathon course begins on SE Main Street near Nicolett Island and continues north along SE Main Street before crossing the Plymouth Avenue bridge over the Mississippi River. From there, the bulk of the race takes place along West River Parkway, showing off destinations such as Gold Medal Park and Mississippi Gorge Regional Park, where the course turns around and heads back to the finish line in the same direction. The only deviation in the second half of the course consists of crossing the Stone Arch Bridge and heading toward the finish line from the south instead of the north.

We recommend a few hotels that are very close to the start/finish line. Residence Inn at The Depot. The Depot Renaissance. Aloft Minneapolis.
Mile 3. Mile 5.5. Mile 7.5 and mile 9.5. Bottles of water will be available, along with a bathroom. Note that we use bottled water at our race to mitigate spilled water on the road that would in turn freeze. We will recycle all of the bottles post race.
All finishers of every distance will receive the Moustache Run medal, including the Lil' Mo Mile finishers.
There will be a bag drop on site at Nicollet Island Pavilion.
Just one block from the start line, on 2nd Street SE and 2nd Ave SE is the St Anthony Falls Parking Ramp and a the St. Anthony Main Surface Parking Lot. There is also a good amount of on-street parking throughout the entire neighborhood.
