The Minocqua No Frills Marathon™ & Half-Marathon is a simple, affordable race that keeps the focus on running. The course follows an out-and-back route along the scenic Bearskin Trail, starting downtown Minocqua and finishing on the trestle. Whether you're a first-time marathoner, a seasoned runner looking to improve your time, or aiming to qualify for the Boston Marathon (certification # WI22019DM), this event provides a great opportunity to achieve your goals.
Runners can choose from a standard 7:00 AM start, an early start at 6:00 AM for those needing extra time (not eligible for overall awards), or a super early 5:00 AM start by special arrangement—headlamps are recommended for the darker wooded sections of the trail. This year, Blue Raven is proud to support Lakeland High School girls' sports programs as the event's beneficiary.
