Join Lost Soul Ultra
The Lost Soul Ultra Marathon will take place the weekend following Labour Day in Lethbridge, Alberta.
The trail course runs through the river valley coulees on public and private land. In this event, 300 ultra-marathoners race against each other, the elements, and the unrelenting hills. Less than 150 years ago, these valleys were the site of the last major First Nations battle on Canadian soil between the Blackfoot and Cree Confederacies.
The race organizers continue to keep the race small to maintain memorable running experiences.
The race is held in the river valley of Lethbridge Alberta, Canada. One loop is 53 Km with approximately 1200m (3600′) of elevation incline and decline. Most of the hills will be in the 150′ to 250′ in size and you will hit about 16 of those in one loop.
Elevation gain or loss is approximately 1000 metres with 13 significant hills over the 53km loop. Although we are on the prairies, our river valley can feel like the Grand Canyon.
The three aid stations are located at the intersection points with segment distances varying from 7 to 16 km.
The 100 mile and 100 km events start at 8:00am Friday morning with 35 hours to finish. The 50 km event starts Saturday at 7:00am with 12 hours to finish.
