The Slovenian coastline is only 47 kilometers long and by participating in Istrski Maraton you will get a chance to run nearly half of that coast. This out-and-back course hugs the Adriatic, providing a delightful backdrop to the Istrian marathon. The sub-Mediterranean climate adds to the amazing experience of running in a sunny setting with a cool breeze easing your effort and helping you run faster. Starting and finishing in Ankaran both Istrian half marathon and the marathon take you through the charming little historical towns, including Koper and Izola. Istrski Maraton is definitely not a flat marathon but those few small hills will let you enjoy the views of this beautiful location even more.
Run with a sea view, by the Slovenian coast, connecting picturesque medieval squares, through wineyards and olive grooves, with lots of local cheering and volonteers... three distances (10 km, 21 km and 42 km) a run with a big heart and hymn!

The registration fee for all running distances includes a technical T-shirt, multifunctional bag, multi scarf, a coupon for a hot meal, refreshments along the trail and at the finish line, medical assistance, technical support on trails, and a medal received at the finish line. The registration fee includes also the cost of a single use chip, received by all participants as part of the race bib. Participants will not be able to run with their own chips (Champion Chip).
