Hegnet Half is a fast and scenic running event set in the peaceful forest surroundings of Tisvilde Hegn, near Tisvildeleje in Denmark. The race is designed for runners who want a flat, well-marked course with the chance to run a strong time while enjoying nature away from the noise of the city.
The half marathon route has very little elevation gain, making it ideal for both personal best attempts and runners looking for a smooth, enjoyable race experience. With wide gravel paths, calm forest atmosphere and beautiful North Zealand scenery, Hegnet Half combines performance-friendly conditions with a memorable nature-based running experience.
Whether you are an experienced athlete, a recreational runner or travelling to Denmark for a unique race, Hegnet Half offers a welcoming event in one of the country’s most distinctive natural areas.
Course details
The route takes you through beautiful forest, dune and heath landscapes, all within National Park Kongernes Nordsjælland. The course follows wide, flat gravel roads throughout, offering plenty of space and a steady running surface from start to finish.
The event centre is located less than 100 metres from the sea, creating a unique coastal atmosphere before and after the race. Hegnet Half also welcomes families, with a children’s race for the youngest runners, as well as a pancake stand and kiosk for participants and spectators to enjoy. Flat, scenic and family-friendly — Hegnet Half is truly #FlatAsAPancake.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Race bibs are collected on race day at the event area. Your disposable timing chip is integrated into your race bib.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes. Another person may collect your race pack for you. They must be ready to show your order confirmation, race number and full participant name.
How do I get to the race location?
Parking is available at the designated parking areas in Liseleje, Asserbo and Nyvej. From all parking areas, there is approximately 2 km to walk or jog to the event area. Follow the white marking flags and always follow instructions from the parking crew. We recommend arriving at the parking area at least 90 minutes before your race start.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes. Contact the organiser at least one week before the race start. Subject to a fee of minimum 50 DKK.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
All registrations are final. Tickets and race entries are non-refundable, including in cases of illness, injury, inability to attend, missed start or change of plans.
Are there drink stations on the course?
Yes. Drink stations are located at approximately 5.4 km, 7.3 km, 10.7 km, 15.2 km and 19.0 km. Water, energy drink and bite-sized banana pieces are available at the drink stations.
Can parents run with their child?
Yes. Parents may run for free with their registered child at the Chrildren's Race.
Is bag storage available?
Yes. Registered participants may store one piece of baggage at the event area. Maximum baggage size is 50 x 50 x 50 cm. Bag storage is supervised, but all baggage is stored at the participant’s own risk.
Will I receive a medal?
Yes. Finishers receive a handmade medal made from local North Zealand wood.
Is food available at the event area?
Yes. The kiosk sells homemade sweet pancakes with organic ingredients, homemade cake, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
