Solo or as a Team, enjoy the history and hills of West Dorset as you run from one ancient hillfort to another in our 35 mile running event. It’s not flat, but it is exceedingly pretty – which is good as there will be plenty of cake to keep you going.

Route:
The route is approximately 35 miles long with a good variety of uphills, downhills and flatter intermediate sections.
The vast majority is off road on footpaths and bridleways, with a couple of sections of quiet lanes. There will be a variety of conditions underfoot. There are four A-road crossings which will be stewarded, all of which offer good lines of sight for oncoming traffic. Being West Dorset these are not usually particularly busy in any case.
There are 6 controls along the way. As well as filling you up with goodies we use these to check you are safely through, give you an intermediate time, provide you with water and stuff some cake into your hand. You will need to ensure that we check off your number here, even if you don’t stop for fuel. If you’re running in a team these are where the handover points are too.
