The Davis Stampede takes place each year in February, and includes 5K, 10K and Half Marathon routes. Starting and finishing at Downtown Davis’ Central Park, the event is a great way to kick off your annual running/walking season. Courses are mostly flat and take runners and walkers through downtown, east and south Davis’s greenbelts and neighborhood streets.
The late weeks of winter bring what is known as the unofficial kickoff event of the Northern California running & walking season, the Davis Stampede Half Marathon welcomes more than 3,500 runners, walkers and joggers each year to this loop course that takes participants through the city streets of Davis and through several of its urban parks and green spaces.
Aid stations will be stocked with water and fluid replacement. There will be six aid stations in the half marathon.
Awards will be presented to the overall male and female finisher in the Half Marathon, as well as to the top three finishers per age division. Half Marathon Age Divisions start with 15 and Under and continue to 80+. All finishers in the Half Marathon will receive a finisher’s medal.
The Half Marathon has a time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes, which is approximately a 15:00 per mile pace.
Parking can be found at many parking lots throughout the downtown area or along the downtown streets.
Professional event photographers will be on-site to capture your image. Photos will be available on their site approximately 4 days following the event.
Race will be chip-timed. The timing chips will be adhered to the back of your race bib and there is nothing to put on your shoe. Simply wear the bib on the front of your body free of race belts, clothing, etc.
