The course of the world-wide renowned Copenhagen Half Marathon is super fast so get ready for your new personal best. Long straight stretches of smooth asphalt, wide roads and soft curves all add to a great running experience. The course of CPH Half takes you through some of the most important parts of inner Copenhagen and Frederiksberg to showcase this beautiful Danish capital. The real highlights of the Copenhagen Half Marathon are the power and music zones. There are more than 20 of them along the course and each offers different music played by a DJ or a live band. All this will make you feel like flying through the CPH Half.
We expect 25,000 runners to be ready in the starting area at Øster Allé in September for this IAAF Gold Label race that has quickly become world-wide renowned for a super fast course through central Copenhagen. This year, once again the race will attract a strong elite – nationally and internationally – to set world-leading times.
Covering most areas of Inner Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, the course will showcase the very best of the Danish capital. The course is extremely fast, highly spectator-friendly and featuring many of the city’s highlights. Along the course the participants pass more than 20 power zones and entertainment venues for both runners and spectators.
Not alone is the course a sightseeing tour around Copenhagen, it also entails ideal conditions for running extremely fast. Broad roads with asphalt surface, soft curves and long straight streches ensure that both recreational runners and pro athletes are in for a first-rate race experience.
Course details
The Copenhagen Half Marathon course will commences and finishes on Øster Allé in the midst of the beautiful city park, Fælledparken, in Copenhagen. Covering many different areas of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, the course will take in the very best of the Danish capital – from Østerbro, Nørrebro and Vesterbro to Frederiksberg and Inner City.
