Amazing Chiang Rai Marathon

Marathon
The ultimate route for marathon runners, showcasing many of Chiang Rai's most important landmarks on a complete tour of the city.
Outbound highlights: The course starts in the city centre, passing the Chiang Rai Clock Tower, Wat Ming Muang, and the King Mengrai the Great Monument before heading out across Chaloem Phra Kiat Bridge 1. Runners continue past Mae Fah Luang–Chiang Rai International Airport, Chiang Rai Stadium, and onward to Wat Nang Lae and Wat Muang Kham.
Return highlights: On the way back, runners cross another bridge over the Kok River before passing several cultural landmarks, including Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park, Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong, and the headquarters of the 37th Military Circle, before finishing back in the city.

Half Marathon
A more challenging route that takes runners beyond the city centre to experience a broader view of Chiang Rai.
Course highlights: The course begins by passing the King Mengrai the Great Monument before crossing Chaloem Phra Kiat Bridge 1. Runners then head towards Mae Fah Luang–Chiang Rai International Airport, Chiang Rai Stadium, and Ban Du Police Station before returning to the city via the Phaya Mangrai Bridge. The final kilometres pass Ban Mai Market before reaching the finish line.

10K (Mini Marathon)
A longer route that offers an enjoyable run alongside the Kok River.
Course highlights: Starting at the King Mengrai the Great Monument, runners cross the Kok River via Chaloem Phra Kiat Bridge 1 and continue through the riverside park. The course then heads to Wat Rong Suea Ten (the Blue Temple), crosses back into the city via the Phaya Mangrai Bridge, and passes Ban Mai Market before the finish.

5K (Micro Marathon / Fun Run)
A relaxed city route, perfect for beginners, families, and anyone looking to enjoy a fun run.
Course highlights: The route passes the King Mengrai the Great Monument before continuing to the beautiful Wat Sri Boon Ruang. Runners then reach one of Chiang Rai's most iconic landmarks, Wat Rong Suea Ten (the Blue Temple). After crossing the Phaya Mangrai Bridge with scenic views of the Kok River, the course winds through the local atmosphere of Ban Mai Market before returning to the finish line.
