Join Changsha Marathon
The Changsha Marathon, held annually since 2015, is now recognized as a World Athletics Gold Label Road Race and one of China’s premier large-scale marathons. With 35,000 participants, it has earned a stellar reputation among domestic and international runners for its top-tier organization and vibrant race atmosphere.
Runners traverse a course that blends natural beauty and deep heritage—passing iconic landmarks such as Yuelu Mountain, Orange Island, and the Xiangjiang River, capturing the essence of Changsha’s rich 3,000-year history.
Changsha is one of China’s oldest cultural capitals, home to treasures like the Mawangdui Han Tomb, Zoumalou bamboo slips, and the Yuelu Academy, making the race both a physical and cultural journey.
