Chaiyaphum Marathon (1st Edition) introduces a new road race in northeastern Thailand, with diff races for all levels starting and finishing at Chaiyaphum Municipality Multi-purpose Stadium. Each route is designed to show a different side of the province, from compact city loops to extended stretches into open countryside. Runners pass key landmarks such as the Chao Pho Phaya Lae Monument and Chaiyaphum Tower, with sections along Highway 225 offering long, uninterrupted pacing. The course combines urban roads, local neighborhoods, and rural surroundings, giving a varied race experience. Finishers in the longer races receive a shirt featuring a traditional handwoven Chaiyaphum pattern, adding a local touch to the event.
Course details
A quick city loop. Stadium, Chao Pho Phaya Lae Monument, Nonthanakorn Rd, Bannakarn Rd, back to the finish.
10 km
A short escape into the countryside, then back to the city. Out via Ongkarn Rd 2, Walking Street, and Ongkarn Rd 4, around Nong Pla Thao Public Park, a quick stretch on Highway 225 (Chaiyaphum-Ban Khwao), back into town through Ha Yaek Non Hai (km.6), past Chao Pho Phaya Lae Monument, Nonthanakorn Rd, and Bannakarn Rd.
21 km
City + countryside in one loop. Same as 10K but further out on Highway 225, U-turn at Chaiyaphum Wisdom Center (km.9), then back through Ha Yaek Non Hai (km.17), Chao Pho Phaya Lae Monument, Nonthanakorn Rd, and Bannakarn Rd.
42 km
The route that shows you the whole province. Out on Highway 225, past Check Point km.9, all the way to the U-turn at Ban Lup Pho, then back through Ha Yaek Non Hai (km.38), Chao Pho Phaya Lae Monument, Nonthanakorn Rd, Chaiyaphum Tower, and Bannakarn Rd.
