Course details
Early Miles - A Downhill Start: The marathon kicks off with a descent, mostly downhill for the first 12 km, dropping from an elevation of 1856 meters to 1398 meters. This part of the route offers a gentle start, but be prepared for a small hill around the 11 km mark, a hint of the challenges ahead.
Middle Section - Uphill Test: Post 12.5 km, brace for a significant uphill stretch, spanning about 17.5 km. You'll be climbing to the race's highest point at 2469 meters, around the 30 km mark. This section is designed to test your limits with its steep and relentless ascent.
Key Villages and Trails: Experience the rustic charm of Ngadiwono, Pandansari, and Mororejo. After Mororejo, you'll encounter a 3 km forest trail rich in vegetation, leading back to paved paths in Podokoyo. Around the 30.2 km mark, Dinglik Viewpoints awaits, offering a moment to soak in the expansive views of the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park.
The Final Stretch - Peaks and Valleys: Post Dinglik, the course alternates between descents and challenging hills, including a steep drop around 32 km and one last hill near 37 km. As you near the end, the path smooths out, leading you through the village of Wonokitri on your final descent to the finish line.
This route is more than a marathon; it's a journey through the captivating landscapes of East Java, marked by serene temples, vibrant Tenggerese communities, and a diverse range of terrains. Whether you're navigating the early descents, enduring the long climbs, or pushing through the final hills, every step brings a new experience in this unforgettable adventure.

常见问题
When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
The race pack collection will be located in the Plataran Bromo - Tosari on September 6th, 2025 from 09:00 - 20:00. Same day race packet pick-up is not permitted.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes. However, the person you authorize will need to provide: a short acknowledgement letter signed by you present your race ticket printout a copy of your identification (passport or KTP) their own identification (passport or KTP)
How do I get to the race location?
If coming to East Java by plane, the closest airports are located in Surabaya (±100km) and Malang (±50km); however, the number of flights into Malang is limited as it is not as large an airport as Surabaya.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
If you later wish to change race categories, you will be charged a processing fee of IDR150.000 in addition to the difference in the race category fee. If moving down in race categories, the difference in race fees will not be refunded. Changes to race categories cannot be made after August 6, 2025.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees are non-refundable. Entries are non-transferable.
What is the recommended transportation to access the venue?
The best way to access our race will be via Pasuruan to Tosari Village, where the starting line is located. Trains and buses run often from Surabaya to Pasuruan. The Bromo Marathon will be organizing optional bus transportation for race participants to Tosari from Surabaya. More detailed information regarding transportation is available on the Transportation Page of our official website.
Where can I find accommodation near the venue?
As Mt. Bromo serves as one of East Java's tourist hot spots, the Tengger offers a multitude of guest houses throughout the region. Detailed information regarding accommodation is available on the Home-Stays Page of our official website.
What is included with registration?
Race Registration Includes: Race Entry Goodie Bag Race T-Shirt Personalized BIB Unique Finisher Medal Finisher Tee for Full Marathon Medical Care - First Aid Stations Fluid and Fuel Stations Fruit & Fluids after your finish
Does the registration fee include the cost of transportation and lodging for the event?
The registration fee does not include the cost of transport to the Tengger or lodging while in the Tengger; however, it does include optional transportation on the day of the race that will be available on a first-come first-served basis for participants staying in Tosari, Ngadiwono, and Wonokitri. However, as space is limited, we urge you to arrive early.
Can I give or sell my number to another runner?
No. Entries are non-transferable. Doing so may result in disqualification.
Are skates, skateboards, bikes or carriages of any kind allowed on the Bromo Marathon?
No. For the safety of the runners, any person caught on the race course with any of these will be escorted off the course immediately by the course marshals.
