Join Born to Run - Tralee Marathon Club 40 Mile Ultra

Born to Run Tralee Marathon Club are proud  to bring you the fourth annual Born to Run 40 Mile Ultra Marathon and second 2 person relay. Also we are excited to introduce for the first time our 4 person relay. Taking place on Saturday July 28th in the town of Tralee, this 40 Mile Ultra-marathon consists of ten 4 mile loops.  The course is made up of a relaxing (and flat) 1 mile river walkway (concrete) and country roads (not quiet flat in places). Each loop has two hills of approximately 0.5 miles each that have a climb of about 90 feet each. These hills are immediately followed by an equal downhill section which will be a welcome relief after the climb.

The event is a self-sufficient event but some refreshments will be provided at the start/finish of each loop and appropriately halfway around the loop. Participants are advised to bring their own supplies which can be placed in the refreshment area at the start/finish of each loop. Participants can also provide the organisers with a drop bag that can be placed at approximately halfway around the loop. 
We seek only to bring enjoyment to all who take part and share our love of road running and the spirit of this fantastic club with the public at large, profit is not our goal. Last year a record number took part and we hope to continue to grow this event. We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received after last years event and hope you will enjoy it just as much.
