The Meon Valley and South Downs National Park boast some of the finest cycling routes in the South. Every route is fully marked and marshalled, supported by our famous well-stocked aid stations—and of course, you’ll earn a custom finisher’s medal to celebrate your achievement. With spectacular scenery at every turn, the only question is… which distance will you take on?

All rides start in Swanmore, heading through Hampton Hill, Beacon Hill, and Old Winchester Hill—where sweeping views reward your efforts. For those tackling the medium, long, or epic routes, the legendary Butser Hill awaits—a lung-busting climb that rewards you with panoramic sea views at the summit! From there, the routes split: Medium: Loop back through South Harting Long & Epic: Push on to Glorious Goodwood, then return via the South Downs National Park Ready to tame the Beast? Join us for an unforgettable ride through some of the South’s most breathtaking landscapes!

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?

In the rare and unfortunate situation of an event being cancelled prior to the start due to a Force Majeure, there will be the option of a transfer to the rescheduled race, transfer to the same race next year or transfer to another of our equivalently priced races. Entry fees cannot be refunded. Transfers to the same event will be permitted free of charge up to 3 days before the event. Deferments to the same race next year will be possible if you can no longer participate. The deadline for deferments is 7 days prior to race date.

Mandatory kit

You must have with you: * Helmet * Spare inner tube(s) * Small pump/gas * Tyre levers As weather is changeable, especially in winter, riders are advised to also wear (and carry) appropriate clothing for the conditions. We also strongly advise riders to download the GPX file of the route onto a wearable watch or mobile device. Although this is a marked course event, arrows can be tampered with, so a good understanding of the route is advisable.

Cut-off times

28 mile (Short) – No cut off 56 mile (Medium) – Reach the course split at 14.6 miles by 10am (then follow on short route) 82 mile (Long) – Reach the course split at 27 miles by 10:45am (then follow the medium route) 100 mile (Epic) – Reach the course split at 78 miles by 3pm (then follow the long route)
