After returning from the 22nd edition of the 100km del Sahara, here we are to make a new assessment, which to our satisfaction remains very positive. The uncertainties dictated by a difficult international situation have caused a decrease in the number of participants, but what could have seemed like a negative, has actually transformed into a reason for success. The lower number of competitors has meant that an atmosphere of greater bond and friendship could be created between everyone, with moments of true emotion and sharing.
From a technical point of view, the race saw the introduction of some new sectors, in particular the climb of the Tembaine mountain, much appreciated, and a new magnificent sector of dunes, certainly tiring moments, but which repaid the athletes with breathtaking views and great sensations. The night trials - one is at sunset, but many of the athletes finish the stage in the dark - have as always given strong emotions to all the participants.
As always, the perfect mix of local cuisine adapted to the needs of athletes and Italian dishes cooked by our chef, was a great success, proving once again to be absolutely ideal for supporting the athletic but also psychological effort of the participants.
Now all that remains is to make an appointment with you for the 23rd edition, which will bring forward its calendar a little and will take place from 5 to 12 October 2025.
A unique location in the heart of the Grand Erg, with high quality logistical accommodation that provides some extra comfort to participants.
Also fully confirmed is the “Half 100 km of the Sahara”, a special program aimed at walking enthusiasts who will not be competing with each other, but will have the opportunity to travel 50 km in 5 stages in the heart of the Sahara desert, fully sharing the program dedicated to runners and receiving a commemorative medal and Finisher T-shirt at the end.
As always, companions are offered the opportunity to share the trip with their friends or relatives: the logistical arrangement allows for a stay in the middle of the desert with the services needed to enjoy comfort and charm. No activities are planned for companions, but they will be able to enjoy the magic of the desert with their loved ones.
Course details
All stages will have departure and arrival directly from the camp.
This program is reserved for walkers: 50 km in 5 stages, one of which is at night. The departures will be collective, while the stage finish line can be at the refreshment points or directly at the camp.
The race course is characterized by the typical desert terrain: sand dunes, hard and compact tracks with sandbar crossings.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
30% of the participation fee for cancellation up to 90 days before departure 50% of the participation fee for cancellation between 89-60 days before departure 90% of the participation fee for cancellation between 59-30 days before departure 100% of the participation fee for cancellation in the 29 days before departure (even in the case of no-show, in the case of impossibility to undertake the trip due to lack of and/or lack of personal travel documents).
