I started running 3 years ago and since then I have been running. In the first months, the runs were short and easy, but from the first moment I started running, I have competed against myself. Sometimes I have almost been nervous standing there ready to run, ready to start my app to keep track of the time and speed per mile.
My goal has been to do better and faster every time. It has made me push my limits and kept me motivated. I also started to run in the mountains, always with the goal to reach the top faster and faster. I have participated in uphill races, half marathons and mountain marathons.
I can't believe it, because I have never been interested in running before. Now, running is a big part of my life. Every run makes me smile afterwards. It makes me clear my mind and with some funky music...it sometimes feels like I can keep going forever. I have also learned to enjoy the slower runs, thinking that I don't always need to do better and faster. Because slow or fast, a mile is a mile!
