Join Amelia Island Half Marathon

History buffs adore this glorious sea island, just 13 miles from the Georgia border, which combines the moss-draped charm of the Deep South with the laid-back beach culture of Florida.

Vacationers have been flocking here since the 1890s, when Henry Flagler tamed the wild east coast, converting the area into a playground for the rich. The legacy of that golden era is evident in the central town of Fernandina Beach, whose 50 blocks of historic buildings, Victorian B&Bs, and restaurants housed in converted fishing cottages all help make Amelia Island one of the most charming finds in the US. Splurge on a few days here if you can.

With that being said, the ZOOMA Florida Half Marathon is the place to be!!

The ZOOMA Florida half marathon and 12K courses are flat and fun, starting in downtown Fernandina Beach and finishing at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The 5K course is an out-and-back beach run (read: on the sand!) After you cross the finish line of all distances, you’ll celebrate your accomplishment with friends at an awesome after-party expo on the oceanfront lawn at The Ritz-Carlton. Enjoy your adrenaline and wine-fueled buzz with live music, massages, shopping, recovery yoga, and lots of empowering girls weekend energy.
