Terwamarathon (Terwahölkkä ja -maraton) takes place in Oulu, which is located on the shore of the Gulf of Bothnia in Finland. Terwamarathon is member of AIMS-organisation. After passing the finish line there is service area where all runners who finish will receive an exclusive medal, water, squeezy sport drink and sweets. This course is perfect to improve runners personal best time and is an easy course for first time marathon runners. You, your family and your kids will have the chance to take home a medal to remeber this wonderful running experience in one of the most fascinating place of Northern Europe!
The start line is just outside the athletic stadium of Oulu. The course is scenic, flat and fast. Marathon runners run the half marathon course twice. The finish line is located at the stadium.
The route is 21.1 km long and marathon runners make the loop twice. The race start and finish are at the athletic stadium of Oulu. The course is relatively flat and fast: the difference between the highest and the lowest point of the course is 16 meters. This course is perfect to improve your personal best time and is an easy course for first time marathon runners. It safely runs along paved pedestrian and bicycle ways in very scenic waterfront, over several bridges and through peaceful neighborhoods of Oulu.
