Overview

The race starts at Washington Park (on Eighth St. between Central Ave.) in Alameda and runs down 8th Street towards Shoreline Drive and loops around the the island of Alameda back to finish at Crown Beach Memorial Park. You will go all the way down Shoreline Drive and wind your way to Towata Park where you will find a water station. Once you exit onto Harbor Parkway, you will have a couple of miles of a long stretch which is a great place to have friends meet you and cheer you on. It is easily accessible for cars and where you may want to see a friendly face. Once you hit mile 8 you will be rewarded with some of the most magnificent views of downtown San Francisco and the San Francisco Bay. The half marathoners and 5K'rs will be split about 1 mile from the finish, so watch for signs and runners from behind so you don't block the faster racers.
